The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the first
weekly ECAC® Lambert Meadowlands Football Poll presented by FieldTurf Tarkett of the 2008 season. In the Bowl Subdivision poll, Penn State (7-0), ranked No. 3 nationally, opens at No. 1 with South Florida (5-1) in second and Pitt (4-1) in third place.

ROARING SPRING, Pa. - Carnegie Mellon leads the four-team field with an 18-hole score of 296, 11 shots better than Altoona. The Tartans featured the two low scorers on the afternoon in Christopher Lee (71) and Joshua Chen (73).

Riverhead, N.Y.- Yale University recorded a three-round total 892 (303, 288, 301) to claim the 2008 ECAC Division I Mens Golf Championship on Saturday at Long Island National Golf Club. Columbia University finished one stroke behind Yale at 893 (301, 300, 292) to come in second place.

Williamsburg, Va. Susannah Aboff claimed medalist honors at the ECAC Division I Womens Golf Championship on Sunday, shooting a three-under 141 (73, 68). Aboff also led Princeton to the team title as the Tigers shot a two-day total of 599. Ana Nam of Lehigh placed second individually with a 146 (73, 73). The Kiskiack Golf Club course is a par 72 and measures 6058 yards.
