ECAC Unveils Championships Calendar for 2012-13 Season
CENTERVILLE, Mass.- The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) released its championship schedule for the 2012-13 season, the nation’s only multi-divisional and largest conference announced on Thursday. Click here for the complete 2012-13 ECAC championships schedule
All told, the ECAC is scheduled to conduct 87 championships in 33 men’s and women’s sports during the next academic year.
The fall season kicks off with the Division I golf championships for men and women at Twisted Dune Country Club, Egg Harbor, N.J., from Friday, Sept. 28, to Monday, Oct. 1. Division II Women’s Volleyball on Saturday, Dec., 1, concludes the fall schedule.
The ECAC Men's & Women's Swimming and Diving Season Warm-Up Championships from Friday, Nov. 30 to Sunday, Dec. 2, in East Meadow, N.Y. (Nassau County Aquatics Center), commences the winter schedule, which wraps up with the Division I Women's Gymnastics Championships (Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.) and Division II Women's Gymnastics Championships (University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Conn.), both on Saturday, March 23.
The Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League Championships for men hosted by Springfield (Mass.) College gets the spring under way on Friday and Saturday, April 5-6. The Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships (May 31-June 2) in Sacramento, Calif., puts the finishing touches on 2013.
