#ECACD3FBFEST: Kean University and SUNY Cortland set for Clayton Chapman Bowl 11/15/2016 2:56:15 PM Danbury, Conn. - Kean University (6-4) and SUNY Cortland (5-5) have been selected to play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Clayton Chapman Bowl on Friday, Nov. 18 at 3:00 p.m. The Cougars will be appearing in their seventh ECAC Bowl in program history while it will be the Red Dragons’ 12th time being selected. Kean finished their regular season with a win over every New Jersey based New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) school this season. Their most recent win came against Montclair State University this past weekend. Kean’s most recent ECAC postseason football appearance came just last season when they topped Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), 24-6, in the 2015 ECAC Presidents Bowl. Cortland’s regular season ended on a two-game win streak. The Red Dragons’ brought home their 23rd Cortaca Jug with a 28-16 win over Ithaca College last Saturday. Cortland’s last ECAC appearance was in 2013 when they lost to Alfred, 21-14, in the ECAC North Central Bowl. Kean and Cortland have faced each other annually from 1996-2014 including a 15-year stretch when the Red Dragons were an affiliate member of the NJAC (2000-2014). Cortland has won 17 of the 19 previous meetings, with Kean claiming wins in 2009 and 2011.
