#ECACD3FBFEST: Washington & Jefferson College and College at Brockport to appear in Presidents Bowl

Danbury, Conn. - Washington & Jefferson College (8-2) and The College at Brockport (7-3) have been selected to play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Presidents Bowl on Friday, Nov. 18 at 8:15 p.m.

W&J enters the game with an 8-2 overall record and will be one of three teams representing the Presidents' Athletic Conference in the six ECAC bowls this weekend at Franklin Field. W&J returns to Franklin Field after playing there once before, losing to Penn 18-4 on Sept. 29, 1897.

The appearance will mark the third ECAC bowl in W&J history, with the Presidents holding a 2-0 record in those games.

The Golden Eagles finished the regular season with an overall record of 7-3, and 6-2 in the Empire 8 conference. The President's achieved an overall record of 8-2 and 6-2 in the President's Athletic Conference.

The Golden Eagles return to the ECAC Football Fest for the first time since 2013 when they beat Waynesburg in the ECAC Northwest Bowl.

This matchup will mark the first ever meeting between the two teams.

Now in its second year, ECAC Division III Football Fest (#ECACD3FBFEST) is a one-of-a-kind event in college athletics.
 
The ECAC moved the Division III football bowl games to a neutral site in 2015 in an effort to enhance the postseason experience offered to its student-athletes, and in that regard, last year’s event was a resounding success. The ECAC is excited to partner with Penn Athletics to bring this year’s DIII Football Fest to historic Franklin Field, and look forward to creating the memorable championship experience our student-athletes deserve.
