Frostburg State Defeats St. John Fisher to Claim Asa S. Bushnell Bowl

PHILADELPHIA - Frostburg State defensive lineman Jordan Procter claimed MVP honors of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Asa S. Bushnell Bowl with five sacks and six tackles. His defensive efforts led the Bobcats to a 38-14 win over St. John Fisher at Franklin Field on Saturday evening.
On the offensive end, Connor Cox threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with Russel Neverdone, Austin Bonsall and Jamaal Morant, who also rushed for 93 yards.
The Bobcats led 7-0 at the end of the first quarter after a 23-yard pass from Cox to Neverdon.
Seven seconds into the second quarter, the Cardinals tied the contest on Mike Collichio's 21-yard pass to Dylan Harrington.
Frostburg State scored three times in the second with a pair off passes by Cox and then a pick-six by Garylin Walker.
The Bobcats added their 35th point at the end of the third quarter on a 47-yard pass from Cox to Bonsall.
The Cardinals scored late on a pass by Matt Naton to Tony Fusco. Collichio and Harington each finished with over 100 yards receiving. Naton completed 33-of-58 passes for 335 yards.
