Knights' Klienbach, Bengals' Steinle Collect ECAC Women's West Accolades

DANBURY, Conn. – The ECAC Women’s West Hockey League has announced its weekly awards for the week of competition ending Jan. 8.
 
Grace Klienbach of Neumann University garnered the honor for Player of the Week after an offensive outburst against Post University last weekend, while Natasha Steinle of Buffalo State College earned the nod for Rookie of the Week.

Klienbach collected seven points on four goals and three assists in the Knights’ two-game sweep of Post. The senior started the weekend with a hat trick and an assist in a 5-0 triumph on Friday afternoon. She then followed up with a goal and two assists in a 9-0 triumph the next day. Klienbach finished the weekend at plus-6 with 20 shots on goal to her credit.

Steinle scored a goal in each of Buffalo State's wins at Salem State this past weekend. She scored the opening goal in Friday's 2-1 win, the found the back of the net for the Bengals' second goal in Saturday's 6-2 victory. The freshman forward now has a goal in three-straight outings after not scoring in her first eight collegiate contests.
