ECAC Announces Riders of the Week Ending October 12

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Equestrian Riders of the Week for the week ending October 12.

Dual Discipline
Fences: Anna Donovan - UC Davis (Pictured)
Sophomore Anna Donovan has been a key contributor in Fences across both opening meets. She rode Tony to a draw with a strong score of 82 against Texas A&M, then posted the highest score of the event in the win over South Dakota State with a score of an 85 on Glennis, earning herself the MOP award.

Flat: Grace Mangrum - Delaware State
Mangrum had the highest Flat score of the meet, besting her Georgia opponent Liza Cram by 3 points, earning herself an MOP award against the #1 team in the nation.

Horsemanship: Hailey Hanson - South Dakota State
Hailey Hanson had an undefeated weekend in Horsemanship at Fresno State and UC Davis. She scored a 68.5 to a 0 at Fresno to win her point, and scored the event high of 75.5 the next day at Davis to a 72, earning herself MOP honors for the event.

Reining: Mya Clader - UC Davis
Senior Mya Clader was a consistent force in Reining throughout the opening weekend. She earned a point against Texas A&M aboard Camacho as part of the Aggies’ 3-1 win in the event. She followed with an MOP ride on Vinny against South Dakota State, earning a 72 and the highest score in the event, helping secure the team victory with another point-winning performance.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast.
