ECAC Announces Riders of the Week Ending October 19

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Equestrian Riders of the Week for the week ending October 19.

Dual Discipline
Fences: Carmen Gonzalez - UC Davis 
Sophomore Carmen Gonzalez was a key contributor in Fences as UC Davis upset No. 5 TCU. She rode Otis to an 82, securing a crucial point in a tight 3-2 event win over the Horned Frogs and a program-defining team victory.

Flat: Lauren Kolbe - UC Davis
Junior Lauren Kolbe delivered a strong performance in Flat during UC Davis’s historic 13–7 win over TCU. She rode Stallone to a standout score of 88, the highest score of the entire meet, earning both the point and MOP honors. Her ride set the tone for a 4-1 event victory that helped spark the Aggies’ first-ever win over a top-5 opponent.

Horsemanship: Eliza Plum - UC Davis
Sophomore Eliza Plum earned a 75 on Shylo in Horsemanship, the highest score of the event, to pick up a point for UC Davis in the meet against No. 5 TCU. Her ride was one of two points the Aggies secured in the event and marked the top Western score in a historic win against the Horned Frogs.

Reining: Nicole Shroyer - UC Davis (Pictured)
Senior Nicole Shroyer led the way in Reining with a ride on Mr. T, earning a 72 and the top score of the event, claiming the point for UC Davis. Her performance helped the Aggies secure a 4–1 win in Reining and cemented their 13-7 victory over No. 5 TCU.

Single Discipline
Fences: Camilla Murray - College of Charleston
Camilla Murray was named MOP in both flat and fences during CofC’s home opener vs #2 sweet briar

Flat: Sam Aisenberg - College of Charleston
Aisenberg earned her first career MOP against Sweet Briar with a 13 point spread to defeat her opponent.
