ECAC Announces Riders of the Week Ending February 9

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Equestrian Riders of the Week for the week ending February 9.

Dual Discipline
Fences: Payton Lussen - UT Martin
In her debut as a Skyhawk, Payton won her point in the Fences defeating her UMNC opponent by a 14-point margin and earning MOP honors.

Flat: Bridget Vieau - UT Martin
UT Martin's Bridget Vieau outscored her UMNC opponent by 11 points for her ride on Herbie this past weekend at AU and earned MOP accolades for performance.

Horsemanship: Mia McAfoos - UT Martin
Senior Mia Mcafoos won both of her horsemanship points against UMNC and AU this past weekend. Mia earned MOP honors for her ride against UMNC and outscored her AU opponent by 1.5 points on their home horses.

Reining: Kate Davis - UT Martin
Senior Kate Davis won both of her reining points at Auburn this past weekend. She defeated her UMNC opponent by 1.5 and her AU rival by 1 point.

Single Discipline
Fences: Maddi Cardelli - College of Charleston
Maddi was the only competitor to execute a very handy round with two chosen inside tracks abd posted the day's high score over fences with an 87.

Flat: Caroline Berg - College of Charleston
Caroline rode the re-ride draw in the final position on the flat and to the overall high score of the flat phase of an 87.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III.
