ECAC Announces Riders of the Week Ending March 9

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Equestrian Riders of the Week for the week ending March 9.

Dual Discipline
Fences: Elizabeth Becker - UT Martin
Elizabeth Becker won her fences point against #7 ranked USC at USC. She overcame her opponent by a 15 point margin

Flat: Alexandra Wentland - UMN Crookston
Senior Alexandra Wentland rode SDSU's "Mia" to a career-high 80 on the flat, narrowly edging her opponent's ride by one point to win the matchup for Crookston.

Horsemanship: Ava Glenn - UMN Crookston
Sophomore Ava Glenn started her weekend off strong against her #9-ranked Baylor opponent, besting Anna Thron 74-71.5 on SDSU's "Marley" to earn MOP honors for the second time this season. This score also tied for the second-highest Horsemanship score of all three meets hosted at SDSU this weekend. Glenn followed up her first ride against Baylor with another strong performance against her SDSU opponent, defeating them on "Snoop" 73-70.5.

Reining: Logan Putvinski - UT Martin
Logan Putvinski outscored her USC opponent by 6 points in the reining to earn her point against the #7 ranked team on their own horses.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III.
