ECAC Announces Men's Gymnastics Awards For Week Ending March 16

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced it’s weekly awards for Men’s Gymnastics for the week ending March 16.

Gymnast of the Week
Isaiah Drake – Navy, Sr. (pictured)
Competing in his final regular season meet, Isaiah Drake was a perfect 3-for-3 as he placed first on the rings, vault and high bar versus Greenville on Friday. He dominated the rings with a 0.75-point margin of victory as he posted a career-best 14.05 score (4.6/D, 9.35/Ex, +0.1/SB.) Drake was also extremely strong on the high bar with a 0.6-point differential as he posted a 13.55 score (4.5/D, 8.95/Ex +0.1/SB.) The vault was hotly-contested as he edged the field by 0.15 points with a winning result of 14.1 (4.8/D, 9.3/Ex)

Routine of the Week
Braxton Jones – Simpson College, Fr.
Competing twice on a weekend, Braxton Jones stuck his 5th Kasumatsu 1-1/2 and took first place in the event. The vault earned him his highest score of the season on the event and led Simpson to their highest vault score of the season. 

Rookie of the Week
Luke Tully – William & Mary, Fr.
Tully continues to impress with his second consecutive Rookie of the Week honor after posting career high scores on vault (14.15) and high bar (13.65.)
