BALTIMORE – The 2025 ECAC D-III Outdoor Track and Field Championships wrapped up on Wednesday, with the men of Delaware Valley and the women of Juniata collecting the team titles. The event was hosted on the campus of Goucher College at Gopher Stadium.
Juniata was in a battle all day with Johns Hopkins before ultimately ending up with just one more point to close out a thrilling championship. On the men’s side, Delaware Valley finished with 154 team points, while McDaniel (134) and Methodist (128) rounded on the top three.
The Methodist men got things started early, with sophomore teammates Logan Wade (10.73) and Tydrick Stewart (10.75) turning in a 1-2 finish in the finals of the men’s 100. Rowan’s Evan Corcoran took home the individual crown in the 200 behind a time of 21.91, holding off Delaware Valley freshman John Williams (22.26).
Delaware Valley snagged three of the top five spots in the 400 but were unable to overcome a strong performance from Nicholas Garman (49.43), who gave Rowan another event win. Junior Jack Reiser won the 800 with a mark of 1:56.33, and Goucher’s Jayden Keels (1:56.62) stayed on his heels to prevent McDaniel from claiming each of the top four podium spots.
Tyler Richardson, a senior from McDaniel, produced a new personal best in the 1500 with a first-place time of 4:01.57, nearly 13 full seconds ahead of second place. Juniata freshman Adam Gallo gave the Eagles an event win in the 5K, doing so in 16:01.43.
Rowan swept the men’s hurdles, as Valentin Augustin (15.10) came away with the 110 hurdle crown before Jordan Lawton (55.04) held off teammate Angel Gonzalez (55.58) in the 400 hurdles. The steeplechase saw Delaware Valley take the top two, with Caleb Messenger (11:20.97) and Jake Cammarota (12:03.92) finishing atop the leaderboard.
Catholic’s 4x100 relay squad of Sam Compton, Jevontae Fearwell, James Galang and Sebastian Lopez teamed up to take home the win, doing so with a team time of 40.92 to set a new season-best. Alex Colletti, Spencer Ye, Fisayo Omonije and Joshua Lee turned in a season-best 3:14.47 to give Johns Hopkins a seven-second win in the 4x400 relay , and McDaniel (8:29.73) closed out the men’s track events with a first-place finish in the 4x800 relay.
In the men’s high jump, Rowan’s Arrington Rhym cleared 2.06m (6’ 9”) to set a new PR and take home the individual title, while fellow Profs Max Owens (4.75m/15’ 7”) and Jason Tomaino (4.30m/14’ 1¼”) turned in a 1-2 finish in the pole vault. Methodist claimed four of the top five spots in the long jump, highlighted by freshman champion Ke Edwards (6.90m/22’ 7¾”).
Methodist continued to stay hot in the triple jump, with Jeremiah Freeman (13.92m/45’ 8”) and David Dennis (13.49m/44’ 3¼”) landing in first and second respectively. McDaniel’s Chett Brunner (15.05m/49’ 4½”) picked up the shot put crown, while Methodist sophomore Tristan Bowser (45.46m/149’ 2”) saved his best performance for his last attempt to win the discus.
Delaware Valley senior Brandon Perot won the hammer throw with a mark of 39.30m (128’ 11”) on his first attempt, with E’Manuel Herbert (35.80m/117” 5”) and Jayden Rodwell (35.23m/115’ 7”) rounding out the top three. Teammate Billy Mayer won the javelin behind an effort of 47.99m (157’ 5”), giving the Rams another ten points toward the team total.
On the women’s side, Johns Hopkins snagged two of the top three finishers in the 100, with junior Mirra Klimov taking home the title behind a time of 11.92. Rowan’s Jasmine Broadway (25.24) took first in the 200, turning in a strong performance in her final conference championship.
Biance Burke, representing FDU-Florham, claimed first in the 400 with a time of 1:00.09, holding off Kean freshman Free Daley (1:00.24) and Delaware Valley’s Zariah Prescott (1:01.12). Daley stormed back with a first-place mark of 2:25.44 in the 800, just ahead of Delaware Valley sophomore Emma East (2:26.67).
Johns Hopkins sophomore Lily Tremba dominated the 1500, as her time of 4:50.26 was more than 20 seconds ahead of second place. Juniata freshman Olivia Brenneman (21:11.04) produced one of the best times of her young career to win the 5K, followed by Delaware Valley’s Samantha Swearingen (21:32.05).
Anna Rando (16.69) of McDaniel was the only participant in the short hurdles to stay under 17 seconds, though Johns Hopkins’ Evelyne Kim landed exactly on that mark in second place. Prescott (1:05.95) won the 400 hurdles, narrowly missing her personal best along the way.
Rowan senior Anna Sasse (11:21.71) added ten points to the Profs’ team score with a win in the steeplechase, with Swearingen (13:18.04) again coming in second.
The 4x100 relay saw the Johns Hopkins group of Klimov, Lianne Saussy, Anna Zinsser and Lauren Phillips team up for a time of 47.71 to earn the event win. Rowan’s Nyla Jones, Molly Lodge, Ava Reilly and Nevaeh Lorjuste (3:44.72) held off a late push from Johns Hopkins to win the 4x400 relay. Juniata won the final women’s track event of the day, winning the 4x800 relay with a time of 10:46.29.
Methodist junior Treazure Rosario-Watson took home the long jump title behind a mark of 5.35m (17’ 6¾”), followed by Chloe Zhang (5.18m/17’) of Johns Hopkins. Rosario-Watson added another win in the triple jump, where her distance of 10.67m (35’ ¼”) was good enough for first place.
Erika Ezumba of Johns Hopkins needed just one attempt to earn the shot put title, doing so with a mark of 12.25m (40’ 2¼”) before running away with the discus crown with a throw of 39.96m (131’ 1”), nearly 20 full feet ahead of second place. Fellow Blue Jay Phoebe Williams (46.70m/153’ 2”) won the women’s hammer, while Juniata’s Emma Coolidge (38.31m/125’ 8”) earned first in the javelin.
