ECAC Announces Riders of the Week Ending September 28
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Equestrian Riders of the Week for the week ending September 28.
Dual Discipline
Fences: Kendall Very - Delaware State (Pictured)
Freshman Kendall Very competed for the first time in her collegiate career, besting her opponent by a margin of 10 points and earning the MOP. She went two for two in her very first NCAA equestrian meet.
Flat: Kendall Very - Delaware State
No only was Kendall Very named the MOP over fences, she was also named MOP on the flat after going two for two in her debut.
Horsemanship: Emma Mutnansky - Minnesota Crookston
Sophomore Emma Mutnansky rode DSU's "Maverick" to a career-high score of 77, beating junior Madison Wojcek's 75. This was the first MOP honor of Mutnansky's career and her score of 77 ties for the second highest Horsemanship score in UMN Crookston program history. Mutnansky's point assisted UMNC in taking the Horsemanship 3-2 over DSU.
Reining: Anna Payne - Delaware State
Junior Anna Payne started her season strong for the second consecutive year, beating her MNCR opponent by a 5 point margin winning a point for DSU and earning the MOP.
Single Discipline
Fences: Olivia Lonneman - College of Charleston
Olivia Lonneman was named the MOP over fences in Charleston's away match up at Lynchburg, defeating her opponent by one point 88-87.
Flat: Samantha Aisenberg - College of Charleston
Samantha Aisenberg won the last point of the meet for COFC vs Lynchburg, defeating her opponent 85-82.
