DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Equestrian Riders of the Week for the week ending February 22.

Dual Discipline
Fences: Maggie Lawler - UMN Crookston
Freshman Maggie Lawler recorded a perfect 2-0 record this weekend at Tennessee Martin in the Equitation Over Fences. Lawler started her weekend strong with a 79-73 win over her Delaware State opponent on UTM's "Pearl", and continued her success against UTM junior Kate Mills, earning an 84-81 victory. Her score of 84 versus UTM tied for the highest Equitation Over Fences score of all three meets hosted at UTM this weekend, and earned Lawler her first career MOP honors in the event. Lawler was also the only rider out of the three meets hosted at UTM this weekend to earn both of her Equitation Over Fences points and get an MOP.

Flat: Kat DeGenova - UT Martin
Kat DeGenova, a UTM senior, swept both of her Flat points this past weekend, highlighted by an MOP ride against Minnesota Crookston. She was the only rider in the flat event to score in the 80s the entire weekend. Her rides showcased both precision and consistency for the Skyhawks.

Horsemanship: Kailyn Veale - UT Martin (Pictured)
UT Martin senior Kailyn Veal swept both of her points this weekend, earning MOP honors against Minnesota Crookston with a UTM school-record score of 81.5. Her 12.5-point margin of victory showcased her dominance and helped power the Skyhawks to two team wins.

Reining: Abby Tibbits - UT Martin
Not to be upstaged by her teammates, Junior Abby Tibbits swept both of her points and claimed MOP honors in both rides this weekend, helping power the Skyhawks to two team wins. She set a school record Friday against Delaware State with a 77.5 and topped it Sunday with a 79 against Minnesota Crookston.
