Early Contenders Emerge in Jets/ECAC Women’s Flag Football League Entering Week Three
Danbury, Conn. — As Week Three of the Jets/ECAC Women’s Flag Football League begins, several teams have already made strong statements early in the season. With the league continuing to grow during its inaugural campaign, early results are starting to shape the standings and highlight potential contenders.
Current Standings (Entering Week Three):
- Eastern (1-0)
- Wagner (2-0)
- Kean (2-1)
- Mount St. Mary's (3-2)
- Penn State Schuylkill (2-2)
- Saint Joseph's (0-1)
- Centenary (0-1)
- Mercy (0-3)
Five additional programs will begin their seasons this week, including Montclair State, Mercyhurst, Sacred Heart, Allegheny, and Marymount, further expanding league competition.
Off the field, Montclair State is also bringing added visibility to the sport. The university's Redhawks Sports Network has launched a new docuseries following the Montclair State flag football team throughout the season. The series provides a behind-the-scenes look at the program, taking viewers inside team practices and offering a closer perspective on the players and coaches.
The first episode premiered on YouTube on March 8, with additional episodes expected to be released as the season progresses.
