ECAC Announces 2026 DIII Men's Basketball Championship Field

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced that The University of Pittsburg - Greensburg will be the top overall seed in the 2026 ECAC Division III Men's Basketball Championship, with first weekend championship play hosted by New Jersey City University and Keene State College. Tournament play will begin Saturday, March 7.

No. 1 Pitt Greensburg will play No. 8 SUNY Maritime. No. 4  Franciscan University will battle No. 5 NJCU. Both of these games will be hosted by NJCU.

No. 2 Keene State plays No. 7 Maine Presque Isle. No. 3 McDaniel College will play No. 6 Rutgers Camden. Both of these games will be hosted by Keene State.

The championship game will be played on campus at one of the two teams that advances from the first weekend.

Quarterfinals - Saturday, March 7
Pod 1 hosted by NJCU

Game #1: No. 1 Pitt Greensburg vs. No. 8 SUNY Maritime. SUNY Maritime was forced to withdraw from the tournament. Pitt Greensburg will advance.
Game #2: No. 4 Franciscan University vs. No. 5 NJCU at 5:30 pm

Pod 2 hosted by Keene State
Game #3: No. 2 Keene State vs. No. 7 Maine Presque Isle at 3:00 pm
Game #4: No. 3  McDaniel College vs. No. 6 Rutgers Camden at 5:00 pm

Semifinals - Sunday, March 8
Pod 1 hosted by NJCU

Game #5: Pitt Greensburg vs. NJCU at 2:00 pm

Pod 2 hosted by Keene State
Game #6: Keene State vs. Rutgers Camden at 1:00 pm

Championship - Saturday, March 14 hosted by Keene State
Game #7: NJCU vs Keene State at 1:00 pm
