ECAC/Jets Women’s Flag Football Season Heats Up as Teams Battle in Week Five

DANBURY, Conn.- As the inaugural ECAC/Jets Women's Flag Football season heads into Week Five, teams across the league are beginning to separate themselves and make a statement in the standings. With several programs finding early success and others looking to climb the rankings, every game is becoming increasingly important as the season unfolds. 

Current Standings (as of March 27): 

  • Franciscan (1-0)
  • Wagner (2-0)
  • Marymount (5-1)
  • Eastern (3-1)
  • Kean (3-1) 
  • Montclair St. (2-1)
  • Mercyhurst (2-1)
  • Mount St. Mary's (3-2)
  • Sacred Heart (1-1)
  • St. Joseph's (1-2)
  • Penn State Schuylkill (2-4)
  • Centenary (0-1)
  • LIU (0-1)
  • Mercy (0-5) 
  • Allegheny (0-4)
This weekend features matchups that could shake up the standings. St. Joseph's, Allegheny, Sacred Heart, and Franciscan will compete at Allegheny, with teams hoping to improve their records and climb the leaderboard. Meanwhile, Franciscan will look to hold onto the top spot as the competition intensifies. 

In another key matchup, Eastern travels to Centenary, where both teams will look to gain momentum as the season progresses. 

With the league continuing to grow and competition heating up each week, teams are competing to earn their place in the playoffs, where only eight teams will make it.
