Princeton wins 2002 ECAC Division I Women's Golf Championship

Princeton, N.J. - Avery Kiser of Princeton University won a six-hole playoff against Elizabeth Carpenter of Brown University to take her second straight individual ECAC title, and led Princeton to a one-stroke victory over Brown at the 2002 ECAC Division I Women's Golf Championship.

The Tigers won with a team score of 467, as the tournament was shortened to 27 holes due to rain.  Brown's total of 468 took second and Boston College finished third at 487.  A total of 14 teams competed in the event.

Princeton's top four scores came from Kiser's winning total of 111, Meg Nakamura in a tie for fifth at 116, Emma Stachowicz in tenth at 120, and Esty Dwek with a score of 121.
