Grove City College Top Seed in 2007 Division III South Women’s Soccer Championship

CAPE COD, Mass -- After finishing the regular-season with a 15-3-1 record, Grove City College was selected as the number one seed in the 2007 Division III Women's Southern Soccer Championship presented by PlayersGoal. The tournament is an eight-team field with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds.

In the first-round on Wednesday, November 7, Grove City College (15-3-1) will play host to Juniata College (9-5-3) at 2:00 p.m. while Frostburg State University (15-4-1) will face Carnegie Mellon University (8-6-2) at 5:00 p.m. at Frostburg State. Swarthmore College (12-2-2) will be home against Misericordia University (13-8-1) at 5:30 p.m. and Widener University (14-5-1) will face The Catholic University of America (10-3-4) at 4:00 p.m. at Widener University.

The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 10. The winner of Grove City College-Juniata College will face the winner of Widener University-The Catholic University of America, while the winner of Frostburg State University-Carnegie Mellon University will square off with the winner of Swarthmore College- Misericordia University in the other semifinal.  The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, November 11 for the championship.

No. 8 Juniata College (9-5-3) at No. 1 Grove City College (15-3-1), 2:00 p.m.
No. 7 Carnegie Mellon University (8-6-2) at No. 2 Frostburg State University (15-4-1), 5:00  p.m.
No. 6 Misericordia University (13-8-1) at No. 3 Swarthmore College (12-2-2), 5:30 p.m.
No. 5 The Catholic University of America (10-3-4) at No. 4 Widener University (14-5-1), 4:00 p.m.

Semifinals - Saturday, November 10
No. 1 Grove City College -No. 8 Juniata College vs. No. 4 Widener University -No. 5 The Catholic University of America, TBD.
No. 2 Frostburg State University - No. 7 Carnegie Mellon University vs. No. 3 Swarthmore College -No. 6 Misericordia University, TBD.

Championship Game - Sunday, November 11
