2007 ECAC Division I Women's Cross Country Championship Results

VAN CORTLANDT PARK, N.Y. - Villanova University placed three runners in the top five to capture the Championship Race in the 2007 ECAC Division I Women's Cross Country Championships held at Van Cortlandt Park in New York. University of New Hampshire completed the University Race sweep, as the both the men's and women's squad took home the top prize.
Villanova had the first, second, and fifth place finishers for a
team score of 43. Callie Hogan (pictured)
took first place with a time of 17:48, while teammate Akilah Vargas
finished eight seconds later. Princeton's Liz Deir finished
in third place with a time of 17:57. William & Mary was
second as a team with a score of 58, led by Emily Anderson who
placed fourth, also 11 seconds off the pace. Defending
champions Cornell settled for third place as a team, coming in with
a score of 83.

New Hampshire won the University Race with a score of 68,
finishing ahead of Colgate (96) and Army (153). Colgate did
well early on, with Elizabeth Kennedy and Stacey Marion taking
first and third place, respectively. Kennedy
(pictured) crossed the line in a time of
18:14. UNH, however, managed to get six of its seven runners
across the line before the next Colgate runner in 29th place to
clinch the title. Leading the way for New Hampshire was Erica
Jesseman, who finished just one second behind Kennedy.
