ECAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards - April 17, 2012
CENTERVILLE, Mass. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its Division II-III (regional) women's lacrosse weekly awards for April 17, for the period ending Sunday:
Division II
Offensive Player of the Week
Ashley Olen – Long Island University, C.W.
Post
Junior, Forward, East Islip, N.Y.
Olen scored 12 goals and added three assists during a 2-0 week for the Pioneers. The junior scored a career-high nine goals in a 20-10 win over Merrimack, tallying two assists as well.
Defensive Player of the Week
Dominique Mosca – Long Island University,
C.W. Post
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Merrick, N.Y.
Mosca finished a 2-0 week with a .600 save percentage, making 27 saves. The sophomore posted a season-high 15 stops in a crucial 10-9 win over Queens.
Division III New England
Offensive Player of the Week
Devon Edwards – Western Connecticut State
University
Junior, Attack, Islip, N.Y.
Edwards tallied 14 goals and two assists for 16 points during a 2-1 week for the Colonials. The junior scored a season-high nine goals and scooped up seven ground balls to play a major part in Western Connecticut’s 15-13 overtime win over Vassar.
Defensive Player of the Week
Lamia Harik – Amherst College
Senior, Goalkeeper, Rye Brook, N.Y.
Harik recorded a .667 save percentage for the Lord Jeffs, posting a 2-0 record in NESCAC play. The senior made 18 saves over two games and scooped up eight ground balls to create a strong overall defensive effort for Amherst. Harik held Tufts scoreless in the first half of an eventual 12-4 win, making 13 saves in the game.

Offensive Player of the Week
Hana Krechel – Lebanon Valley
College
Junior, Attack, Fawn Grove, Pa.
Krechel set a pair of school records during a 2-0 week. The junior posted a school-best nine goals and added an assist during an 18-12 win against Alvernia on Saturday. Earlier in the week, Krechel recorded a single-game benchmark of 10 draw controls in a 19-4 win over Lycoming.
Defensive Player of the Week
Casey Chiesa – Fredonia State University
Junior, Goalkeeper, Baldwinsville,
N.Y.
Chiesa helped keep a school record intact for the Blue Devils, posting 24 saves over two games and a 2-0 record. The Blue Devils – setting a school record for consecutive wins with nine – were led by their netminder, who kept the squad undefeated in conference play by playing all 120:00 between the two games with a .533 save percentage.
