Division II

Player of the Week

Michael Sturns - Holy Family University
Senior, Guard, Fort Worth, Texas

Sturns averaged 27.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in wins over Goldey-Beacom (87-52) and Dominican (70-67).  In the game against Goldey-Beacom, he scored 30 points and pulled down 12 boards while dishing out five assists.

Division III - New England

Co-Players of the Week

Jaykyri Simpson - University of New England
Junior, Guard, East Cleburne, Texas

Simpson had a pair of solid games this week, as UNE defeated Endicott and Colby-Sawyer.  He scored 23 points, dished out eight assists, and had four rebounds against Endicott, and then scored 25 points to go along with nine rebounds and eight assists against Colby-Sawyer.  For the week, Simpson averaged 24.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 8.0 assists.

Dan Holbrook - University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth
Senior, Forward, Lexington, Mass.

Holbrook recorded double-doubles in both of his games during the week.  He put up 23 points and had 17 caroms in a loss to Rhode Island College, and then had a 16-point, 12-rebound performance in a victory over Eastern Connecticut.  Holbrook averaged 19.5 points and 14.5 rebounds on the week while shooting 60.7 percent from the field.

Division III - Upstate

Co-Players of the Week

Joe Canori - Nazareth College
Senior, Guard, Webster, N.Y.

Canori averaged 27.0 points during a 2-1 week, and added 3.3 rebounds per game.  In a 90-61 win over Hartwick, he scored 30 points including four three-pointers.  In the process, Canori became the all-time leading scorer at Nazareth with 1,839 points.

Waleed Farid - Stevens Institute of Technology
Senior, Guard, Woodside, N.Y.

Farid put together a pair of solid performances this week, finishing with averages of 19.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 5.0 steals per game.  In Stevens' second win of the week over Hunter College, Farid netted 24 points to go with 12 boards and nine steals.  He is now the school's career leader in points scored with 1,467.

Division III - Metro

Player of the Week

Brandon Freeman - St. Joseph's College (NY)
Senior, Forward, Freeport, N.Y.

Freeman recorded a double-double in a 112-108 victory over Mt. St. Vincent, with 28 points and 13 boards.  After a win against Purchase (74-59), he finished the week with averages of 25.5 points and 11.0 rebounds.

Division III - South

Co-Players of the Week

John Soboleski - King's College
Senior, Center, Ashley, Pa.

Soboleski tallied 28 points in each game during the week, behind 18-for-27 shooting from the floor and 20-of-27 made free throws.  He also pulled down 19 rebounds in a win over Penn College and 13 rebounds in a defeat of Manhattanville. 

Kevin Buczynski - Penn State Behrend
Senior, Forward, Erie, Pa.

Buczynski averaged a double-double on the week with 27.5 points and 10.0 rebounds, and shot 69 percent (23-of-33) from the field in two wins.  In a victory over La Roche, he scored 31 points and had 11 caroms.
