Division I

Player of the Week

C.J. McCollum – Lehigh University
Senior, Guard,
Canton, Ohio

McCollum averaged 29.7 points and nine rebounds in Lehigh’s three games last week, highlighted by the top individual scoring performance by a Patriot League player in more than five years when he scored 42 points in an 80-75 loss at Kent State on Friday. McCollum made 15-of-25 shots and 9-of-11 free throws in the game, and scored 38 points in the final 28 minutes of the contest. He also pulled down seven rebounds.  McCollum also led the Mountain Hawks to home victories over Cornell (20 points, 13 rebounds) and Bryant (27 points, 7 rebounds).


Division II

Player of the Week

Kevin Roth – Le Moyne College
Senior, Forward,
Lake View, N.Y.

Roth averaged 20 points, ten rebounds, and three assists to lead the Dolphins in a 2-1 week. He registered 21 points and 20 rebounds as Le Moyne overcame an 18-point second half deficit to defeat American International, 59-55 on Monday night. He then posted 20 points while playing all 40 minutes of action in a 69-57 loss at Post on Wednesday. Roth tallied 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in a 74-70 victory over New Haven on Sunday.


Division III – New England

Player of the Week

Lance Spratling – Southern Vermont College
Senior, Guard,
Pittsfield, Mass.

Spratling broke an NCAA record across all divisions, playing all 75 minutes in the Mountaineers’ NCAA record-breaking game that resulted in a 128-123 loss after seven overtimes against Skidmore College. Spratling just missed a triple-double, scoring 31 points, bringing down 18 rebounds, and dishing out eight assists. He shot 10-for-40 from the field and was 11-for-14 at the charity stripe.



Division III – Upstate

Co-Players of the Week

Jake Simmons – Buffalo State College
Sophomore, Guard,
Rochester, N.Y. 

Simmons scored 27 points as Buffalo State defeated host Pitt-Bradford, 94-87, to remain unbeaten on the season. The Bengals trailed by as many as ten points in the first half before Simmons connected on 11 points, including his third three-pointer with 2:24 remaining in the opening half to give Buffalo State the lead for good. He netted 16 second half points and finished the game shooting 83.3 percent from the field, 60 percent from beyond the three-point arc, and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

John Mantas – Skidmore College
Junior, Guard,
Niskayuna, N.Y.

Mantas scored a team-high 27 points off the bench in Skidmore's seven overtime, NCAA record- breaking win at Southern Vermont. Mantas helped clinch the historical victory, scoring five of his points in the decisive seventh overtime.



Division III – Metro


Player of the Week

Marcel Esonwune – York College
Senior, Center,
Lagos, Nigeria

Esonwune averaged 35 points, 11 rebounds and 7.5 blocks per contest on the weekend. Against Wesley (Del.), Esonwune shot 13-for-25 from the field en route to 33 points, ten rebounds and seven blocked shots. One day later against Bridgewater (Va.), he went for 37 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked eight shots.

 

Division III – South

Player of the Week

Ethan Eichhorst – Misericordia University
Junior, Forward,
Drums, Pa.                                                                                  

Eichhorst had a game-high 24 points, including 12-for-13 from the free throw line, to lead the Cougars to a 76-66 win over Scranton.  He added eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals as Misericordia improved to 4-0 for the first time in 20 years.
