Div. III Women's Basketball Players of the Week

Division III - South

Player of the Week

Kirby Lutz - DeSales University
Senior, Forward,
Easton, Pa.

Lutz recorded back-to-back double-doubles to lead DeSales to two wins last week.  She averaged 19.5 points and 12.5 rebounds and moved within 19 points of scoring 1,000 in her career.  Lutz started the week with a 20-point and 12-rebound performance in a 75-55 win over Wesley College and finished the week with a 19-point, 13-rebound performance in the 76-74 win over Baruch College.  For the season she leads the team in scoring (16.0 PPG) and rebounding (7.9 RPG).

Shelley Gott-Stilwell Maine-Maritime Academy
Senior, Forward - Tremont,
Maine

Shelley Gott-Stilwell averaged 18.7 points and 8.6 rebounds in her team's 3-0 week. Gott-Stilwell was named the MVP of the Keene State Holiday Tournament after helping MMA beat the host school in double overtime. Gott-Stilwell had 22 points and 14 rebounds in the teams 78-73 win over Worcester State, 20 points and 8 rebounds in the win over Keene State, and 14 points in just 18 minutes in MMA's win over Maine Presque Isle.

Ashley Marble - University of Southern Maine
Senior, Forward,
Topsfield, Maine

On Jan. 6, Marble led Southern Maine to a 60-57 come-from-behind victory at Little East Conference rival Western Connecticut, recording career-highs in points (30) and rebounds (19). Her performance marked her 32nd career double-double and fifth of the campaign. Marble scored nine of her 30 points in the final four minutes of the game to deliver the victory and hand the Colonials their first conference loss. She surpassed the 1,500-point and 900-rebound benchmark, raising her career totals to 1,513 points and 903 rebounds. Marble sits atop the conference circuit in defensive rebounds (7.36), scoring (20.5 ppg), and total rebounds (10.3).

Player of the Week

Quandra Rodgers - Medgar Evers College
Sophomore, Guard,
Nashville, Ark.

The sophomore exploded for 69 points in a pair of key conference victories last week.  The 5'8" guard shot a sizzling 54 percent (26-for-48) from the field and was sensational on the line (16-for-17, 94 percent).  The Nashville, Arkansas native put the team on her shoulders with 37 points and six steals in the Cougars' 75-68 victory against Staten Island (1/3).  Rodgers remained on fire at City Tech (1/5), converting 11-of-22 field goals and all ten of her free throws en route to 32 points and six steals.  The two victories have given Medgar Evers a share of first-place in the CUNYAC's South Division.  Rodgers is averaging a league-high 24.2 points per game.

Division III - Upstate

Player of the Week

Allison Boehm - St. John Fisher College
Junior, Guard/Forward,
Cheektowaga, N.Y.

Boehm averaged 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals as St. John Fisher rallied from 11 points down in the second half of conference wins over RIT and Nazareth.  In the RIT win, she scored 12 of her 16 points in the second half, including three 3-pointers, and added eight rebounds and five assists.  Against the Golden Flyers, she recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
