, Downingtown, Pa.

Scores from the week:
VT: 9.75 UB: 9.775 BB: 9.8 FX: 8.9 AA: 38.225

Waldman had a very impressive night at the Sweetheart Invitational this past weekend. Despite a bit of a rough start on floor - she bounced back, brilliantly to put up the high scores for the Tribe on each of the following events. Waldman posted a career high on vault and matched her career high on beam. She was beautiful on bars, swinging clean and solid to post the highest score for William & Mary once again.

Rookie of the Week

Melissa Cream, The College of William & Mary
Freshman, West Windsor, NJ

Scores from the week:
UB: 9.525 BB: 9.625 FX: 9.575

Cream continued the impressive start to her collegiate career with a pair of season-highs. She boosted the teams' season-high total on beam with a brilliant career-high 9.625 and also came up big on floor with a career-high 9.575.  She also was solid on bars with a 9.525. All three scores counted towards the team total.

Specialist of the Week

Brittany Howse, Cornell University
Sophomore, Deerfield, Ill.

Scores from the week:
VT: 9.675 FX: 9.80

Howse led the Big Red on both of the events on which she competed Friday night at the Shelli Calloway Invitational at Towson University. Her scores of 9.8 on floor and 9.675 on vault were both personal bests, and helped pace the Red to season highs on both events as well as the team total, earning Cornell a second place finish in a field of five teams.

Coach's Choice

Brigitte Kivisto, Yale University
Sophomore, Boca Raton, Fla.

Scores from the week:
UB: 9.525 BB: 9.625 FX: 9.675

Due to an inflamed Achilles, Kivisto was only able to train for one day for most events prior to competition over the weekend.  Despite the injury she was able to place first on floor (9.675), fourth on bars (9.525) and fifth on beam (9.625).  Each of her three scores counted to Yale's team total.

Division III

Gymnast of the Week

Elizabeth Ann Glunt, Rhode Island College
Sophomore, Altoona, Pa.

Glunt had her season's best all around score during an away meet at MIT and Boston University's Club on February 16.  She received an 8.825 on Vault, an 8.175 on Bars, a 9.15 on Beam after a beautifully stuck routine and a 9.2 on Floor.  She led Rhode Island in the all around and placed third overall in the meet.

Rookie of the Week

Erin Slaunwhite, Ursinus College
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Slaunwhite has been working very hard this season and it's starting to pay off!  She scored an impressive 9.4 on beam and finished the meet with a personal best on floor with a 9.45.  It has been a challenge for her because the rules in Nova Scotia are very different and the adjustment to the NCAA has required a great deal of work.

Specialist of the Week

Roxanne DeShaies, Ithaca College
Junior, Biddeford, Maine

DeShaies broke the school record with her 9.625 on uneven bars versus SUNY Brockport and Wilson College at the Harriett Marranca Memorial Invitational hosted by Ithaca College on February 16, 2008.
