Niles is coming into her own as she completes her comeback to the sport, winning the uneven bars at Ithaca’s Harriet Marranca Memorial Invitational. Following a rash of injuries her freshman year, Niles took two years off from the sport. The time off gave her time to heal and to overcome the great fear she had developed of being re-injured. She demonstrated her form on Saturday as she was able to score a 9.5 out of a 9.8 start value.
