Jayne Finst is arguably the best gymnast in the history of Brown University. As a senior co-captain,
Jayne was named ECAC Gymnast of the Year, earning the honor for the second straight season. The first Brown gymnast to earn this honor, Finst was also the only athlete in the history of the ECAC to earn Athlete of the Year recognition in two straight seasons. Upon graduation, she held Brown records in the all-around 39.175, vault 9.775, beam 9.925, floor 9.90 and still holds the Brown and Ivy League beam record today.
 
Over the course of her career at Brown, Finst earned the titles of Two-Time ECAC Gymnast of the Year, Eight-Time ECAC Gymnast of the Week, Three-Time First Team All-ECAC, Brown University Female Athlete of the Year – Marjorie Brown Smith Award, ECAC All-Around Record holder, ECAC All-Around Champion, Two-Time ECAC Beam Champion, ECAC Floor Champion, Ivy League All-Around and Beam Record Holder, Two-Time Ivy League All-Around Champion, Ivy League Vault Champion, and Brown Beam Record Holder. 
 
In addition to her athletic achievements, Finst excelled academically earning Three-Time ECAC All-Academic honors, Three-Time Academic All-Ivy honors and Academic All-American.
Finst exemplified a well-rounded student-athlete through her leadership roles as Student-Athlete Advisory Board Co-President, Brown Representative on the Ivy League Student-Athlete Advisory Board, Undergraduate Representative on the Faculty Committee on Athletics and Physical Education, Student-Athlete Representative on the Student Leadership Committee. Finst currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Brown University Sports Foundation.
Before Brown, Finst was a member of the Level 10 J.O. National Team. Finst was the 1998 USAG National Beam Champion.  In 2000, Finst finished second on both the floor and in the all-around at the level 10 USAG Nationals.
