ECAC Announces Division III Women's Volleyball All-ECAC

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2017 Division III Women’s Volleyball All-ECAC Team.
 
Stevenson University’s Annika Schwartz claims Offensive Player of the Year, while Kate Isaksen from Clarkson University earned Defensive Player of the Year. Steph Judkins of Cabrini University takes home Rookie of they Year and Kim Kelly from Carnegie Mellon University received Coach of the Year.

Schwartz, was named Offensive Player of the Year after recording 360 kills this season in only 109 sets played for an average of 3.3 kills per set. The four-time Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Player of the Week was also named to the MAC Commonwealth First-Team. Schwartz also made First-Team All-America for the American Volleyball Coaches Association(AVCA) and was the AVCA Mid-Atlantic Offensive Player of the Year.

Kate Isaksen was named Defensive Player of the Year, after leading the nation in digs per set with 6.85 and a total of 735 digs overall. Other accolades for Isaksen include being named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-New York Region First-Team as well as being named to the Liberty League First-Team.

 Steph Judkins capped off her freshman campaign with the honor. Previously, she was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player of the Year as well as Rookie of the Year. She was distinguished as a CSAC Player of the Week six times this year as well as an ECAC DIII Volleyball Rookie of the Week six times. Overall, Judkins recorded 11 double-doubles and led the CSAC in kills per set at 3.71 and finished second in total kills with 427.

 Coach Kelly led Carnegie Mellon to a 29-4 record this season. She was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association North Region Coach of the Year and recorded her 500th career win and 250th at Carnegie Mellon earlier this year. Kelly once again was able to get the Tartans back into the NCAA Tournament as they made their second consecutive appearance. The teams 29 wins this season ties for the most wins in a season under her leadership.
