ECAC Announces Women's Soccer Players of the Month for October

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Women’s Soccer Players of the Month for October 2019.
 
Division II
Offensive Player of the Month
Kenya Davis, So., Forward, Lincoln University
 
Davis led Lincoln in September with 12 points, scoring six goals in 21 shots. She had game winning goal in the Lions lone win of the month against Valley Forge and recorded her first career hat trick.
 
Defensive Player of the Month
Lena Rodriquez, Sr., Goalkeeper, Lincoln University
 
Rodriquez averaged 16.38 saves per game during the month of October and is currently the NCAA Division II leader in both total saves and saves per game. The DII active career saves leader, Rodriguez recorded her 500th career save against Queens on 10/16 and tied Lincoln's single season mark of 198 with 20 saves against West Virgina Wesleyan. She has had three games with 20 or more saves during October including an NCAA DII single game high of 24.
 
Division III – North
Offensive Player of the Month
Jessica Egan, Sr., Forward, Wilkes University
 
Egan helped carry the Colonels to a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom tournament berth with four goals over two conference games. The senior scored two goals in a 3-2 victory over Eastern on October 19th and two more in a 5-1 win against King's on October 23rd. She finished the month with a .571 shot percentage and a .714 shots-on-goal percentage.
 
Defensive Player of the Month
Alison Sorkenn, Sr., Goalkeeper, Union College
 
The three-time selection to the Liberty League weekly honor roll allowed one goal or less in six of her seven appearances, including two individual shutouts and two more combined shutouts. She stopped a combined 14 shots in back-to-back 1-0 shutout wins over RPI and Babson. Sorkenn’s two losses both came in 1-0 defeats in which she had a combined 17 saves and faced a combined 38 shots.
 
Rookie of the Month
Fiona Zimmerman, Fr., Goalkeeper, Union College
 
Zimmerman was selected to the Liberty League weekly honor roll after scoring the game-winner in overtime in a 1-0 win over RPI. She assisted on the game-winner in another 1-0 win at Babson. She recorded a season-high five points with two goals and an assist in a 4-0 win at Skidmore and has totaled three goals and four assists on the month.

Division III – South
Offensive Player of the Month
Michaela Burke, Jr., Midfield, Grove City College
 
Burke recorded eight goals and four assists including consecutive hat tricks. She scored all three goals including the overtime game-winner in 3-2 win over Chatham, then had a career-high seven points against Bethany. The midfielder was named PAC Conference Player of the Week twice for her efforts.
 
Defensive Player of the Month
Emma Hill, Jr., Goalkeeper, Salisbury University
 
Hill repeats as Player of the Month for Salisbury going unbeaten all month with an 8-0-1 record. The junior posted five shutouts and only gave up two goals while putting up 29 saves, earning CAC Player of the Week twice in the month.
 
Rookie of the Month
Julia Redilla, Fr., Forward, Westminster College
 
Redilla picked up a PAC Rookie of the Week award for her strong October. The freshman recorded four goals and two assists, including two game winning goals for the Titans. Her month was highlighted by a one goal two assist performance against Saint Vincent.
 
Division III – Metro
Offensive Player of the Month
Daria Warner, Jr., Forward, Cedar Crest College
 
Warner continues her torrid scoring pace, pouring in 15 goals this month and chipping in three assists. She leads the CSAC in goals and points. Nationally, Warner ranks Tied for 3rd place in goals, 5th in goals per game, Tied for 6th in points and 8th for points per game. On top of everything she has broken the Cedar Crest records for career goals, goals in a season, points in a season, and career points as a junior.

Defensive Player of the Month
Chelsea Estacio, Fr., Goalkeeper, Centenary University
 
Estacio has anchored the Centenary defense. In 630 minutes of action, the freshman keeper has allowed only three goals, averaging .43 goals against. The Cyclones went 6-1 with Estacio posting 5 shutouts and 16 saves.
 
Rookie of the Month
Olivia Harris, Fr., Goalkeeper, Stockton University
 
Harris started four games for Stockton, going the distance in all four. In those games she posted two shutouts and nine saves to lead her team to a 3-1 record. Her .70 goals against average leads all rookie goalkeepers in the NJAC.
