ECAC Announces 2019 Division II Women's Soccer All-ECAC
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2019 Division II Women’s Soccer All-ECAC Team.
Caldwell University swept the major awards as Meghan Grundhauser was voted Offensive Player of the Year, senior defender Amber Raines was voted Defensive Player of the Year, Sarah Costanza took home Rookie of the Year and Nate Guagliardi was voted Coach of the Year.

Grundhauser was the Team leader in points and assists after scoring eight goals and notching six assists for 22 points. The CACC Second Team All-Conference selection and one time CACC Player of the Week ranked seventh in the CACC in game-winning goals, tied for eighth in points and tied for ninth in goals.

Raines anchored a Caldwell defense that lost one game in conference this season and allowed 12 conference goals, which was third fewest in the CACC. She netted two game-winning goals including in the CACC Quarterfinal win to earn CACC All-Tournament honors. For her efforts the senior was named CACC Defensive Player of the Year, D2CCA First Team All-East Region and CACC Defensive Player of the Week three times.

Costanza started 16 of 17 this year for Caldwell, scoring nine goals and assisting one three. The two-time CACC Rookie of the Week ranked tenth in the CACC in points, eighth in goals and tied for fifth in game-winning goals with three.

Coach Guagliardi won his second consecutive coach of the year award as he led the Caldwell University Cougars to a 10-4-3 record in 2019. The team had a seven-game unbeaten streak to close out the regular season to finish 8-1-3 in conference. The team allowed 12 conference goals as Guagliardi guided the team to the CACC semifinals for the third time in the last four seasons.
