ECAC Announces 2019 Division III Football All-ECAC

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2019 Division IIII Football All-ECAC Teams and Major Awards.
 
Wesley Schools from Grove City College was voted Offensive Player of the Year, while Raeqwon Greer from Alfred University won Defensive Player of the Year. Terrique Riddick from William Paterson University took home Offensive Rookie of the Year and Dadrick Vickers from Bethany College was awarded Defensive Rookie of the Year. Jeff Behrman at Union College won Coach of the Year.

Schools leaves Grove City after a career that concluded with 5,698 rushing yards and 66 TDs. In his final year, the PAC Offensive Player of the Year and AFCA First Team All-American rushed for 1,623 yards, good for third nationally, and 25 touchdowns, which led all of Division III. Averaging 5.8 yards per attempt, he set the Gove City single game regular season rushing record with 324 yards.

Greer was a force in the Empire 8 as he led the conference in solo tackles with 60 from the safety position. Finishing the season with 93 total tackles, the junior added eight tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and three pass breakups on his way to being named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year and an AFCA Second Team All-American.

Terrique Riddick was the only freshman in the NJAC to make the First Team All-Conference after being named NJAC Offensive Player of the Year. The William Paterson freshman won player of the week three times this season as he rushed for 754 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 5.2 yards per carry all of which led the team.

Vickers prowled the defensive backfield for the Bison picking off seven passes this season, the second highest in Division III. The PAC newcomer of the year led all of DIII in interceptions per game with .8. The freshman tacked on four pass breakups and 19 tackles on the year.

Jeff Behrman heads the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year. He inherited a team that went 0-10 during the 2015 season and in just four years led the Dutchmen to a 10-0 regular season, the program's fourth 10-0 regular season. Dutchmen were ranked #13 and #14 in the national polls entering the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the second round with a 24-21 victory over Case Western Reserve.
