ECAC Announces 2019 Men's Basketball Championship Field

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced Hood College (17-9) will be the overall top-seed and earn a first round bye of the 2019 ECAC Division III Men's Basketball Championship. Tournament play will begin Wednesday, February 27 at regional sites.
In pod 1
, No. 1 Hood will earn a bye and host the quarterfinals through the finals this weekend. A first round matchup in pod 1 will feature No. 2 Grove City College (16-11) hosting No. 3 Franciscan University (13-13).
In pod 2, No. 1 Drew University (21-6) will host No. 4 Neumann University (13-12) while No. 2 Misericordia University (14-11) will host No. 3 Marymount University (16-12).
In pod 3, No. 1 Brandeis University (14-11) will host No. 4 John Jay College (16-11), while No. 2 Marywood University (16-10) will host No. 3 Medaille College (14-13).
In pod 4, No. 1 Wilkes University (18-9) will visit No. 4 Brooklyn College (15-12) while No. 2 Rutgers Newark (13-12) will host No. 3 Stevenson University (14-12).
The winners of each first-round game will go on to compete in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 1 at Hood College.
