ECAC Announces 2020 DI Men's Basketball All-ECAC Team and Major Award Winners
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2020 Division I Men's Basketball All-ECAC Team.
Elijah of Syracuse University was voted Player of the Year and Joe Pridgen from Holy Cross was named Rookie of the Year. Joe Gallo, in Merrimack's first year at the Division I level, was named Coach of the Year.

Elijah Hughes was the most dominant scorer in the ACC leading the conference in scoring at 19 points per game. The First Team All-ACC selection posted double-digit points in 30 of the Orange's 32 games and scored 20 or more in 14 of them. The junior forward broke the 30 point barrier once, in a 33 point effort again Georgia Tech. Hughs also chipped in five rebounds per game and dished out 109 assists on the year.

Pridgen dominated the Patriot league in his first season at Holy Cross. The Eight-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week scored 521 total points on the season, the second most in both Holy Cross and Patriot League history. Pridgen would average 17.4 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game while shooting an incredibly efficient 55.8% from the floor.

Gallo guided Merrimack to an outright NEC Regular Season Championship's in the program's first season reclassifying to Division I, the first time in NCAA history that has occurred. The team finished the season with 20 wins setting a new wins record for a team in its first year of Division I reclassification. Gallo was named NEC Coach of the Year and USBWA District I Coach of the Year as his team led the NEC is scoring defense, steals per game, and turnover margin.
