ECAC Announces Men's Soccer Players of the Month for October 2021

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Men’s Soccer Players of the Month for October 2021.

Division II
Player of the Month
Rodrigo Descalzo Rocca - So., Forward, Adelphi University

Rodrigo Descalzo Rocca had an October to remember. He scored eight goals in seven games, including his first collegiate hat trick on October 23 that landed him NE10 Player and Rookie of the Week and United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week honors. He also tallied three game-winners to increase his nation-leading total to six.

Rookie of the Month
Malolan Veeravalli, Fr, Defense/Midfield, Emory & Henry

Veeravalli started every game this month for E&H. He posted his first two goals of his career on only four shots all month.

Division III – North
Player of the Month
Josh Guadiano, Jr., Forward, RPI

Continuing to be the team leader in goals, assists, points, shots, shots on goal and penalty kick goals, Guadiano led Engineers to 5-3-1 month, including 5-2-0 mark in Liberty League. The team clinched regular-season title and top seed in conference tournament.

Goalkeeper of the Month
Luke Brezak, Sr, Goalkeeper, RPI

Brezak started all nine games and led Engineers in all goalkeeping categories, helping team to 5-3-1 record, including 5-2-0 mark in Liberty League. All four shutouts came in Liberty League play. He posted 28 saves and only let in six goals all month in his 830:00 minutes.

Rookie of the Month
Julio Rodriguez, Fr, Midfield, RPI

Rodriguez only found one goal this month, but it was a meaningful one, hitting the game winner against Ithaca on his way to being named Liberty League Rookie of the Week.

Division III – South
Player of the Month

Sam Belitz, Jr, Forward, Grove City College

Belitz is the leader in the Presidents' Athletic Conference with 15 goals, 10 of which have come in October. He posted hat tricks against Thiel and Saint Vincent, leading Grove City to the PAC's regular season title and top seed in this week's conference tournament.

Goalkeeper of the Month
Jad Jadallah, Jr, Goalkeeper, Westminster College

Junior Jad Jadallah was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player/Goalkeeper of the Week on October 4. Jadallah ranks eighth in the conference with a save percentage of .717 and second with 86 saves. He has notched four shutouts this season, good for third in the league.

Rookie of the Month
Ciaran Corr, Fr, Forward, Penn State – Altoona

Corr led Penn State Altoona in goals (5), points (10), game-winning goals (2), and shots (33) during October.

Division III – Metro
Player of the Month
Eli Pardo, Jr, Forward, Manhattanville College

Pardo won two Skyline Offensive Player of the Week awards in October. He is the team leader in goals, points, shots, shots on goal, and game winning goals and currently leads the conference in GWG and ranks 2nd in goals and 5th in points. He put in nine goals and helped out with one assist in October.

Goalkeeper of the Month
Luis Granados, So, Goalkeeper, Manhattanville College

Granados raked in awards in October, pulling in two Skyline Rookie of the Weeks and one Skyline Defensive Player of the Week. He is the conference leader in GAA, shutouts, and save percentage and ranks 17th in the nation in GAA.

Rookie of the Month
Nathan Bennett, Fr, Forward, New York University

Bennet lives near the top of the charts in the UAA. He is tied for first in UAA in total conference goals, tied for second in UAA in total goals, fifth in UAA in total points, and tied for second in UAA in total conference points. In October he had four goals and one assist on only eleven shots.
