ECAC Announces Women's Soccer Players of the Month for October 2021

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Women’s Soccer Players of the Month for October 2021.

Division II
Player of the Month
Maria D‘Angelo - Fr., Forward, Adelphi University

In the month of October, in which Adelphi went 4-2-2, Maria D'Angelo's scoring came at the most timely of moments. She had two game-winners among the eight games, including an 86th-minute header that secured a 1-0 win over Assumption on Senior Day. She registered at least one point in four of her final five games this month.

Rookie of the Month
Camilla Dobraniecki, Fr, Forward, Emory & Henry

Led the team to a 4-2 month with three goals and an assist to post seven points.

Division III – North
Player of the Month
Carla Goodwin, Sr., Midfield/Forward, Ramapo

Goodwin led the Roadrunners this month with five goals and one assist including four goals in a 5-0 win over NJCU on senior day.

Goalkeeper of the Month
Hannah Fuller, Jr, Goalkeeper, Alfred University

Fuller started all eight games for Alfred in October going a total of 763:05 minutes. She allowed only seven goals on 58 shots, posting 36 saves on her way to a 4-2-2 record.

Rookie of the Month
Alyssa Smith, Fr, Midfield, Alfred University

Alyssa Smith bagged the game-winning goal over #1-ranked Nazareth College to move Alfred University up to No. 2 seed ahead of Empire 8 Tournament.

Division III – South
Player of the Month

Julia Redilla, Jr, Midfield, Grove City College

Junior Julia Redilla was named Presidents' Atheltic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Week three times during the month of October. Redilla ranks first in the conference in points (32), is tied for most goals (14) and game-winning goals (5).

Goalkeeper of the Month
Courtney Lisman, Fr, Goalkeeper, Grove City College

Lisman has allowed zero or one goal in each of last 10 matches. She posted a season-high 10 saves on October 13 at Westminster and recorded an OT shutout win over Chatham October 16.

Rookie of the Month
Mallorie Smith, Fr, Forward, Penn State – Altoona

Smith was named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Week on October 18. During the month of October she led the Lions in points (22), goals (9), shot attempts (38), shots on goal (24), and game-winning goals (3) and tied for first in assists (4).

Division III – Metro
Player of the Month
Allie Trick, Jr, Forward, DeSales University

Trick was named MAC Freedom Conference Player of the Week twice in October while she led team in goals (8) and points (21) and led her team to #2 seed in the MAC Freedom tournament.

Goalkeeper of the Month
Alexa Pyatsky, Sr, Goalkeeper, Manhattanville College

A two-time Skyline Defensive Player of the Week (10/5, 10/11) & 1x Skyline Honor Roll Recipient (10/25), Pysatsky finished conference play with just one goal allowed. She is the Skyline leader in GAA and shutouts.

Rookie of the Month
Kelly Barrera, Fr, Midfield, Manhattanville College

Barrera repeats as Metro Rookie of the Month. She posted seven goals and two assists which is good for third on team in points and tied for first in goals.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-two-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast.
