ECAC Announces 2022 DIII Women's Basketball Championship
DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced Kean University will be the top overall seed in the 2022 ECAC Division III Women's Basketball Championship, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University. In a departure from traditional ECAC tournament format, play will begin Wednesday, March 2 with a double header at CMU.
No. 1 Kean University will play hosts No. 4 Carnegie Mellon at 5:30.
No. 2 Penn State – Behrend will play No. 3 Westminster College at 7:30, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University.
The final match will be played on Saturday, March 5. If an advancing school does not opt in to host Saturday the game will be played at CMU at noon.
Semifinals - Wednesday, March 2 at Carnegie Mellon
Game #1: Kean University vs. Carnegie Mellon University - 5:30 p.m.
Game #2: PSU - Behrend vs Westminster College - 7:30 p.m.
Championship - Saturday, March 5 at TBD
Winner Game #1 vs. Winner Game #2 - Noon.
