ECAC Announces Men's Gymnastics Awards For Week Ending February 27

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced it's weekly awards for Men's Gymnastics for the week ending February 27.

Gymnast of the Week
Aidan Cuy – William & Mary, Jr., Warwick, RI
Aidan Cuy lead the Tribe by posting its best performance of the season en route to defeating Springfield while earning career high scores on floor, vault, parallel bars and all-around. He moved up to 8th all time for Tribe All-Around scores.

Specialist of the Week
Mathew Davis – Army, Sr., Frisco, TX
Mathew Davis was tremendous at the 2022 Winter Cup in his hometown of Frisco, Texas, earning top 20 placements on four events, including the all-around, while claiming sixth on the floor exercise. Mathew Davis had his highest placement at Winter Cup in his athletic career against the best in the nation.

Rookie of the Week
Isaiah Drake – Navy, Fr., Los Angeles, CA.
Competing as one of the nation's 38-best individual gymnasts in the United States at this weekend's Winter Cup, Drake posted the 15th-highest all-around score on Friday night before tallying a trio of top-20 individual event results on the final day of action on Sunday. In addition to his strong all-around outing on Friday, Drake's effort in Frisco was led by a standout two-day performance on the vault that ranked 10th in the field. His two-day total of 28.35 points on the vault ranked tenth overall, just 0.1 points behind Penn State's Matt Cormier. Drake's cumulative score of 26.15 on the parallel bars and 24.45 on the pommel horse helped him finish 18th and 20th respectively in the final standings.  

ABOUT THE ECAC
The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-two-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast.
