ECAC Announces Men's Gymnastics Awards For Week Ending March 13
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced it's weekly awards for Men's Gymnastics for the week ending March 13.
Gymnast of the Week
Aidan Cuy – William & Mary, Jr., Warwick, RI
Junior Aidan Cuy highlighted the Tribe's individual performances by winning parallel bars with a 13.45. Heled the Tribe on floor with a 13.0 and he earned the Tribe's top score on vault with a 13.95. Cuy posted the meet's top score in all-around at 76.75.
Specialist of the Week
Franco Peirano – Army, So., Pembroke Pines, FL
Peirano had the best competition of his collegiate career over the weekend against Air Force and #3 Nebraska. Franco led Army West Point on vault with a career and season-high 14.6 and his stuck vault gave him not only the top score on the event in the ECAC over the weekend, but also the highest score on vault in the ECAC this season. Peirano also scored a career and season-high 13.7 on floor exercise.
Rookie of the Week
Steve Manolakis – Army, So., Hanover, MA
Manolakis had a stellar performance for the Black Knights this past weekend against Air Force and #3 Nebraska. Steve led Army West Point on floor exercise with a career and season-high 14.25. This score not only was the top score on the event in the ECAC over the weekend, but also the second-highest score on floor exercise in the ECAC this season. Manolakis also competed on parallel bars and vault and had his second-highest score on vault this season with a 14.0.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-two-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast.
