Navy Tops ECAC Gymnastics Preseason Poll
DANBURY, Conn. – Defending champions Navy was selected as the top team in the ECAC Gymnastics preseason poll, as voted on by coaches.
Navy will be gunning for their sixth straight ECAC title this season and remain favorites to repeat according to coaches. The Midshipmen are led by returning All-Americans Syam Buradagunta and Isaiah Drake.
Navy was followed in the poll by Springfield College, led by 2023 ECAC Gymnast of the Year Dominic Ramalho. Last season's runner-up, the Pride will look to dethrone Navy at the top of the ECAC. Army was selected third in the poll with 2023 Specialist and Rookie of the Year Maddox Pabellon looking to build on his double honors.
Rounding out the poll, William & Mary was voted to place fourth. Greenville and Simpson, both entering their second year of competition, were voted to finish fifth and sixth respectively.
The season will begin on January 5 when Army travels to Penn State. Springfield College will host the 2024 ECAC Championship on April 6.
