ECAC Announces 2023 DIII Men's Basketball Championship Field
DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced Alvernia University will be the top overall seed in the 2023 ECAC Division III Men’s Basketball Championship, with the weekend championship hosted by Alfred University. Tournament play will begin Wednesday, March 1 with first round games.
No. 1 Alvernia University will travel to No. 7 Juniata College. No. 4 Neumann University with host No. 5 Manhattanville College. No. 3 Carnegie Mellon plays host to No. 6 Allegheny College. No. 2 Alfred receives a bye and awaits the winner of Carngie Mellon vs. Allegheny.
The winners of the three first-round games will go on to compete in the semifinals on Saturday, March 4 at Alfred University.
First Round - Wednesday, March 1 at Campus Sites
Game #1: No. 1 Alvernia vs. No. 7 Juniata* at 7:00 pm
Game #2: No. 4 Neumann* vs. No. 5 Manhattanville at 8:00 pm
Game #3: No. 3 Carnegie Mellon * vs. No. 6 Allegheny College 7:00 pm

Semifinals - Saturday, March 4 at Alfred University
Game #4: Alvernia vs. Neumann - 3:00 pm
Game #5: Alfred University vs Allegheny - 5:30 pm
Championship - Sunday, March 5 at Alfred University
