MILTON, N.Y. – The 2024 ECAC DIII North Cross Country Championships wrapped up on Saturday, with the Vassar women and the men of Hartford taking home the team titles. The Brewers earned a perfect 15 points after producing the top seven individuals on the women’s side, while the Hawk men snagged half of the top ten to finish the day with 24 team points.

In the women’s 6K, four Vassar freshman turned in stellar performances, highlighted by Lizzie Lowe, who hauled in the individual crown with a season-best performance of 24:22.8. Teammates Sophie Marchioli (24:54.4) and Hadley Snell (25:22.9) rounded out the top three, with fellow Brewers Sarah France (25:30.3) and Sophie Farr (25:44.2) giving Vassar the best possible team outcome on the afternoon.

The men’s race provided much more parity throughout the top ten, though Hartford turned in a dominant performance of their own. Senior Riley Brutvan came away as the top individual with a time of 26:57.8, and teammate Owen Klein (27:08.1) gave the Hawks both of the top two finishers.

Vassar’s Levi Lelienthal (27:29.1) was the first non-Hartford runner across the finish line, but sophomore Trae McIntryre (27:45.6) became the third Hawk of the event to close out his day inside the top four. Jose Perez of Baruch came in fifth with a time of 27:57.9, with Hartford senior Jackson Bernreuter (28:04.8) taking sixth.
