ECAC Announces Men's Gymnastics Awards For Week Ending January 26
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced it’s weekly awards for Men’s Gymnastics for the week ending January 26.
Gymnast of the Week
Jake Smith – Simpson College, So.
In his third straight meet of the season, Jake Smith added a fourth event and continued to show why he is an impact player for the Storm. He hit four for four routines in Simpson's home opener. Jake performed a huge High Bar routine that tied him for first place against the Mids with a 13.00.
Routine of the Week
Maddox Pabbellon – Army, Jr. (Pictured)
For the third week in a row, Maddox took the Pommel Horse title with a 14.0. He anchored the Army rotation to help them score a 52.2, keeping Army ranked #1 in the conference and #5 in the nation.
Rookie of the Week
Luke Tully – William & Mary, Fr.
Tully did a great job anchoring the Tribe FX team, earning fourth place with a 12.95 and almost sticking his Yurchenko double full for 2nd place. Tully aslso posted a 13.90 Vault, good for second place, and a 11.80 High Bar.
