ECAC Announces Men's Gymnastics Awards For Week Ending January 11

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced it’s weekly awards for Men’s Gymnastics for the week ending January 11.

Gymnast of the Week
Brian Solomon – Navy, Jr. (Pictured)
Solomon turned in a career-best all-around result of 79.05, topping his previous high of 77.8 on Saturday as Navy defeated Springfield. He was strong throughout the competition with a first-place score on the parallel bars and runner-up results on the floor, rings and high bar, with a third-place effort on the vault and a sixth on the pommel horse. Solomon's high bar score was also a career-high.

Co-Routine of the Week
Jaxon Clapper – Greenville University, Jr.
Jaxon Clapper had the second highest parallel bar score in the country and highest score in the conference with a 13.6, nailing his routine to take the event title against Michigan and Simpson.

Devin Felsenstein  – Springfield College, So.
Felsenstein nailed his pommel horse routine this weekend scoring a 14.1. This score was the highest score of any ECAC gymnast and ranks him second nationally by a tenth.

Rookie of the Week
Skyler Cook – Springfield College, So.
In his first ever collegiate meet, Skyler Cook competed on parallel bars and high bar for the Pride. He placed tied for second on parallel bars with a 12.1 and seventh on high bar with a 12.4.
