ECAC Announces Riders of the Week Ending February 8

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Equestrian Riders of the Week for the week ending February 8.

Dual Discipline
Fences: Lauren Kolbe - UC Davis
Lauren Kolbe headlined a dominant Fences performance for UC Davis, leading the way in a 5-0 event sweep of the discipline. Aboard Otis, Kolbe posted a field-high score of 88 to secure her point and earn MOP honors, marking the highest score of the day in the event.

Flat: Maggie Lawler - UMN Crookston
Freshman Maggie Lawler defeated her #9 UC Davis opponent 93-79, earning her second MOP honors of the season and of her career. Her score of 93 set a new program record for Minnesota Crookston, was a personal best score for Lawler, and was also the highest score of any Flat rider in the ECAC thus far this year.

Horsemanship: Claire Andrews - Delaware State
Senior Claire Andrews competed in both horsemanship and reining in both away meets this past weekend for DSU. She bested her SDSU horsemanship opponent by 6.5 pts and earned MOP honors for the ride.

Reining: Ada Hirschfeld - UC Davis
Ada Hirschfeld anchored a perfect 5-0 sweep in Reining, delivering a discipline-high 72 aboard Vinny. Her performance earned MOP honors as she outscored her opponent by four points to help UC Davis claim the event win.
