DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2015 Division III South Men’s Soccer All-Star Team, as voted on by representatives from the region’s member institutions.
Drew Demich of Hood College claimed Offensive Player of the Year honors, with Trevor Britton from Franklin & Marshall College taking home Defensive Player of the Year. Arcadia University’s Ryan Hammer was tabbed as Rookie of the Year, while Dan Wagner from Franklin & Marshall captured the 2015 Coach of the Year award.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Drew Demich – Hood College, Jr., Forward
Demich was an offensive force this season, accounting for 46 points in 21 appearances. The junior, who also earned Offensive Player of the Year for the MAC Commonwealth, recorded 22 goals and two assists on the year, and led the Middle Atlantic Conferences in both goals and points. Demich was named to the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America DIII All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Trevor Britton – Franklin & Marshall College, Sr., Goalkeeper
Britton appeared in 17 games for the Diplomats in 2015, posting a 15-2-0 record in those contests. The senior only allowed seven goals throughout the regular season for a goals against average of .420, and ended the year with nine shutouts to lead the Centennial Conference in that category. Britton was selected to the 2015 NSCAA DIII All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team.
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Ryan Hammer – Arcadia University, Fr., Forward/Midfield
Hammer posted 16 points on seven goals and two assists in his first collegiate campaign, and was selected at the MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year. The freshman was also a Second-Team All-MAC Commonwealth selection.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Dan Wagner – Franklin & Marshall College
In his 14th season at the helm of the Diplomats, Wagner guided his charges to a 15-2 mark, including a strong 7-2 showing in Centennial Conference play. Under Wagner’s direction, Franklin & Marshall finished the season with the best defense among conference opposition, as the Diplomats finished the season with just 13 goals against, fewest of any team in the Centennial.
