Entering his third year at the ECAC, John Rollins currently serves as the organization's Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer.
Rollins came to the ECAC boasting 25 years of wide-ranging experience in financial and strategic planning, business affairs and operations at the highest levels of the industry.
Rollins will oversee all of the conference's business and finance functions, including financial strategies, strategic planning and key internal operating initiatives. He will also work to streamline and modernize fiscal processes, and serve as the staff liaison to the Conference General Council and the Finance Committee of the ECAC Board of Directors.
Prior to joining the ECAC, Rollins served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Elite Sports and Athletic Events at the New York Athletic Club. While there, he directed all day-to-day aspects of the club's operation, and was responsible for managing the department's finances, including strategic planning, monthly financial reviews and budget management.
Before his most recent role with NYAC, Rollins spent time with MasterCard Worldwide, the University of Hartford Department of Athletics, and most notably, the National Football League and ESPN.
While with the NFL, Rollins held the title of Business Manager for both the League Office and League Management Council over a four-year period that saw the league increase its annual revenue by almost $2 billion. During his tenure, Rollins directly managed $450 million in revenue and expense budgets, and was tasked with maximizing revenue and profit from existing business initiatives while also identifying new growth opportunities.
Prior to his time with the NFL, Rollins served as the Business and Finance Manager for the University of Hartford Athletic Department. While with Hartford, he developed, administered and controlled the department's annual budget, and was also responsible for detailing all revenues and expenditure for the department's Business Office.
Preceding his first spell in collegiate athletics, Rollins spent nine years as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Program Finance department at ESPN Inc. He was heavily involved in both domestic and international finance initiatives during his time in Bristol, and oversaw the creation of both short- and long-term strategic reports for international programming and production efforts. Rollins was also active in driving corporate sponsorships and ad sales.
In addition to his role with the ECAC, Rollins currently holds the position of Adjunct Faculty at Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y., where he teaches Sports Business Strategic Management as part of the school's graduate program.
Rollins earned his bachelor's degree in Economics from Fordham University where we was a four year starter on the men's soccer team.
Rollins and his wife Susan reside in Somers, N.Y. with their son Kevin and daughter Kara.
