BRONX, N.Y. – The 2025 IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championship took place on Friday morning, with the Northeastern men and the women of Brown taking home the team titles. 25 member institutions were represented at the event, which was held at Van Cortlandt Park and hosted by Fordham University.
FULL RESULTS
Northeastern senior Patrick Cantlon took home the individual title with a mark of 24:23.5, narrowly holding off Bucknell’s Henry Didden (24:24.1, 2nd) and Saint Joseph’s junior Michael Glavin (24:25.8, 3rd). Baptiste Carteaux (24:30.0) was the next individual finisher, with Nico Boyle (24:32.1) representing Northeastern and coming in fifth place.
Dawson French (24:45.3), Jack Seagroatt (24:48.1) and Ryan Sarney (25:05.1) rounded out the scoring for Northeastern, who finished with five of the top 24 individuals for the day. The Huskies totaled 58 points as team, 35 more than second place.
On the women’s side, Iona junior Tayla Gunton hauled in the individual title, doing so with a mark of 20:20.6. The next four places were separated by just half a second, as 2024 champion Hannah Snayd (20:22.0, 2nd) of Fairfield held off Delaware’s Marie-Theres Gruber (20:28.1), George Mason’s Ella Semple (20:39.0) and Brown’s Nimrit Ahuja (20:53.3).
Julia Schriefer (21:31.4) was the next Brown runner across the finish, finding herself in 13th place, while Charlotte Murphy (21.48.8), Olivia Fraga (21:50.7) and Ariana Thiel-Hadjilambrinos (21:58.1) snagged 20th, 21st and 22nd respectively.
