MILTON, N.Y. – The ECAC hosted the 2025 DIII North Cross Country Championships on Saturday, with the USMMA men and the women of Delaware Valley taking home the team titles. The Mariners claimed five of the top nine individuals on the men’s side to total 23 points, while the Aggies scored five of the top 12 to cruise to the women’s title.
The event was hosted at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome and featured competitors from a dozen universities across the region.
USMMA senior and Skyline Conference Champion Luke Zweisler picked up the men’s individual crown, doing so with a time of 27:13.3. Fellow Mariners Silas Glynn (28.29.8) and Pierce Murray (28:52.9) also landed inside the top three, while Arjun Suresh (29:42.4, eighth place) and Enois Maceira (29:44.7, ninth place) rounded out the scoring for the Mariners.
Eldon Reynoso of Kean was the first non-USMMA runner across the finish, taking fourth place behind a mark of 29:01.5. Baruch senior Jose Perez finished on his heels, as his time of 29:04.8 was good enough to pick up fifth place. Evan Skoblicki of St. Joseph’s (29.15.4) and Kean’s Jonathan Rivera (29:27.3) came in sixth and seventh respectively.
The top five of the women’s race provided much more parity, with five different schools represented. USMMA standout freshman Eleanor Romeo took home the individual crown, doing so with a time of 26:20.3 in the first conference championship race of her career.
Elizabeth Kurka of St. Joseph’s followed in second at 27:12.1, with Delaware Valley junior Emma East (27:39.9) snagging third. Sarah Knoetig, a junior from Kean, posted a time of 27:46.2 picked up fourth place, while Cindy Chen (27:50.6) of SUNY Maritime rounded out the top five.
For the Aggies, Lindsay Taylor (27:58.5) picked up sixth place, while Kamella Gechter (28.43.8) and Emma Haas (28:51.0) turned in eighth and ninth respectively. Arianna Askew rounded out the scoring for Delaware Valley, finishing her day in 13th place behind a time of 29:23.3.
