Scarlet Knights sweep 2026 IC4A-ECAC Track & Field Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The 2026 IC4A-ECAC Track & Field came to a close on Sunday afternoon, with host Rutgers picking up both team titles. The Scarlet Knight men picked up 160 points as a team, and the Rutgers women totaled 161 for the weekend.
 
Sunday’s track action began with Rutgers senior Daniel Duncan (10.50) taking first place in the men’s 100, with Aiden Baldelli of Monmouth and fellow Scarlet Knight Greg McQueen rounding out the top three. Sacred Heart’s Colin Brown (21.73) followed with a win in the men’s 200, holding off Fordham junior Sam Freeman (21.76) in a photo finish.
 
Ryan Smith added to the Rutgers total with a first-place finish in the men’s 3K, doing so with a time of 8:40.64. Austin Hernandez then gave Army its first event win of the day, taking the men’s 110 hurdles behind a time of 14.42, and Rutgers’ Bryce Tucker turned in a finals time of 52.57 to win the 400 hurdles.
 
Monmouth’s 4x100 relay team of Alex Veith, Alex Kislenko, Baldelli and James Burrus combined for a time of 40.89 to win the event, holding off a strong push from Wagner. The men’s 4x400 relay saw Duquesne’s squad of Zach Nash, Christian Cupp, Colm McGroarty and Nick Keller take first with a time of 3:15.58. Sacred Heart finished off the men’s relays with a victory in the 4x800, as Dylan Peterson, Joshua Voorhees, Liam Keish and Lance Hayes produced a mark of 7:39.58.
 
In the men’s field events, Rutgers teammates Joseph Oduro (15.12m) and Donovan Anderson (15.06m) came in first and second respectively in the triple jump. Ian Crowley of Sacred Heart picked up the win in the decathlon with a score of 6299, with teammate Langston Pearson following with 6166.
 
Sacred Heart sophomore Nyahingiva Musa began Sunday’s women’s track action with a win in the 100, doing so with a time of 11.70. Rutgers teammates Paige Floriea (23.55) and Sierra Latonnel (24.42) followed with a 1-2 punch in the women’s 200, with Loyola freshman Caroline Blakeslee (24.61) rounding out the top three.
 
A day after taking first in the women’s 1500, Monmouth’s Emily Simko added a win in the 3K behind a time of 9:37.50, narrowly holding off Bucknell’s Kailey Granger (9:38.55). Duquesne junior Anna Rorrer earned first in the women’s 110 hurdles with a time of 13.93 before taking the win in the 400 hurdles (1:01.01) to finish off the sweep.
 
The Rutgers team of Floriea, Naylah Jones, Abby Love and Cynthia Boakye combined for a time of 45.70 to win the 4x100 relay. Duquesne’s Melani Schmidt, Selma Bajgoric, Madison Van Haren and Lauryn Clarke won the 4x400 relay with a mark of 3:48.89, and the Dukes closed out the relays as Cydney Blahovee, Reagan Ryen, Eilidh Edgar and Sylvia Kashak won the 4x800 relay in 9:08.03.
 
Rose Kuchera gave Duquesne another win in the women’s triple jump, doing so with a first-place mark of 12.35m. Monmouth freshman Maggie Hansen picked up first in the women’s discus in convincing fashion with a toss of 50.35m, nearly 15 full feet ahead of second place.
 
Lehigh’s Corinn Brewer posted a heptathlon score of 4890 to win the event, posting wins in the javelin (34.68m) and the 800 (2:17.60) along the way. At the conclusion of the meet, Rutgers’ Sincere Robinson was named the IC4A Performer of the Meet, while Rorrer picked up ECAC Performer of the Meet honors.
