Methodist, Juniata earn team track titles at ECAC DIII Championships

WESTMINSTER, Md. – The 2026 ECAC DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championships wrapped up on Saturday, with Methodist taking home the men’s crown and Juniata earning the women’s title. The single-day event was hosted at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium on the campus of McDaniel College.
 
Methodist junior Logan Wade was named the Men’s Performer of the Meet after winning both the 100 and 200, while Gracie French of Juniata finished in the top three in multiple events to win Women’s Performer of the Meet honors.
 
Sophomore Meghan Kreinberg gave FDU-Florham the first win of the day, coming away with a winning distance of 1.57m (5’ 1 ¾”) in the women’s high jump. Methodist’s Jarius Fajardo and Rutgers-Camden’s Jayden Deleon shared the individual crown in the men’s high jump, as both landed at 2.00m (6’ 6 3/4 “).
 
Clarissa Newman of Johns Hopkins held off a trio of McDaniel athletes in the women’s pole vault, as her clearance of 3.75m (12’ 3 ½”) earned her first place and now ranks inside the top 30 nationally. Delaware Valley junior Gregory Sommer followed with a win on the men’s side, doing so with a mark of 4.10m (13’ 5 ¼”).
 
Juniata put three individuals in the top four in the women’s long jump, highlighted by Breanne Spencer’s first-place mark of 5.01m (16’ 5 ¼”). Methodist dominated the men’s event, as Jeremiah Freeman and David Dennis matched one another with a leap of 6.55m (21’ 6) at the top as part of five Monarchs in the top six.
 
McDaniel teammates Gabrielle DeMarco (10.02m/31’ 10 ½”) and Elyssa Greene (9.18m/30 1 ½”) led the way in the women’s triple jump, with Megan DiBerardino of Delaware Valley (8.09m/26’ 6 ½”) taking third. Methodist freshman Kamren Jenkins followed with a mark of 14.06m (46’ 1 ½”) in the men’s triple jump, earning the first individual conference crown of his career.
 
In the women’s shot put, senior Shanil Auguste of Rutgers-Newark picked up first place with a toss of 12.83m (42’ 1 ¼”). Spencer Siegel gave Juniata the win in the subsequent men’s event, doing so behind a mark of 14.84m (48’ ¼”), more than five feet ahead of second place.
 
The Rutgers-Camden duo of Kayla Franklin (38.89m/127’ 7”) and Asha Pensa-Johnson (37.83m/124’ 1”) came away with a 1-2 punch in the women’s discus. Ayzeem Hassan gave Keystone an event win in the men’s discus, as his throw of 43.97m (144’ 3”) landed him atop the leaderboard.
 
Emma Coolidge, a senior from Juniata, hurled the javelin 35.53m (116’ 7”) to earn the women’s individual crown, while each of the top three cleared 30 meters. Muhammad Elijah Samad-Muhammad of Rutgers-Camden added an event win of his own, doing so with a first-place throw of 50.16m (164’ 6”).
 
Fejiro Akiri (43m/141’ 1”) dominated in the women’s hammer, giving Rutgers-Newark the win by finishing nearly 15 feet ahead of second place. Rutgers-Camden junior Dyheim Watson closed out the field events for the day by winning the men’s hammer with a distance of 49.76m (163’ 3”).
 
On the track, Juniata started things off with a season-best time of 10:24.11 in the women’s 4x800 relay, as Ella McCrum, Camille McRoberts, Natalie Osborne and Chloe Reilley teamed up for first place. The Goucher group of Jayden Keels, Robert Lamb, Joel Lukoo and Jair Smith combined for a team time of 8:10.15, giving the Gophers their first event win of the day.
 
The women’s steeplechase saw McDaniel junior Maya Colavito run away with the event, as her time of 12:47.67 was more than 40 seconds ahead of second place. Kean’s Angel Alacaron turned in a new PR time of 10:48.75 en route to winning the men’s steeple, completing all but one lap in under 1:30.
 
Johns Hopkins dominated in the women’s 400m hurdles by earning five of the top six finishers, led by champion Lianne Saussy (1:02.31). Brody Troy followed with a new season-best mark of 56.98 in the men’s race, holding off McDaniel’s Caleb Andoh (57.83) to snag first place.
 
Methodist won the women’s 4x100 relay, as D’Zariya Parran, Sanaia Hill, Treazure Rosario-Watson and Leilani Rankin finished the race in just 49.14. The Methodist men finished off the sweep, with Dennis, Tydrick Stewart, Greg Cuthbertson and Logan Wade teaming up for a first-place time of 41.13.
 
Senior Kali Wooster of Vermont State Johnson produced a new PR in the women’s 1500, as her mark of 4:47.53 was good enough to earn the individual title. McDaniel’s Jack Sears followed with a time of 3:57.69 in the men’s race, nearly ten full seconds ahead of second.
 
J’Quez Jackson came away with first in a tight men’s 110m hurdles final, as his time of 15.34 was enough to hold off both Jamir Driggins (15.42) of Rutgers-Camden and McDaniel’s Roman Arensmeyer (15.84). Evelyne Kim of Johns Hopkins turned in a time of 15.39 in the finals of the women’s 100 hurdles, picking up first behind a new personal best.
 
Bianca Burke (58.02) of FDU-Florham earned the women’s 400 crown, with Juniata’s Djemba Ndikwe (48.69) narrowly holding off Johns Hopkins senior Joshua Lee (48.80) to win the men’s race. Wooster (2:19.28) snagged first in the women’s 800, while McDaniel senior Ethan Bush won the men’s 800 behind a time of 1:55.80.
 
Johns Hopkins’ Mirra Klimov (12:03) led the pack in a close women’s 100 final, while Wade (10.52) led a trio of Methodist runners on the men’s side. French (25.37) turned in a new PR to win the women’s 200, while (21.67) Wade followed with his second first-place finish in as many events.
 
Lindsay Taylor of Delaware Valley came away with a time of 20:14.88 in the women’s 5K, 19 seconds ahead of second place. Sears (15:55.77) picked up first in the men’s event, with a pair of Juniata runners rounding out the top three.
 
Kean’s 4x400 relay team of Chaa-Nah-Yah Brathwaite, Sarah Knoetig, Samantha Gonzalez and Free Daley combined for a mark of 4:08.15 to win the event. The Rutgers-Camden team of Walter Pierce, Oluwatobi Popoola, Kamari Brown-Taylor and Kristopher Ewell closed out the meet with a win in the men’s 4x400 relay, doing so with a time of 3:24.60.
